1. Introduction to Rights and Duties

• Rights are the privileges or freedoms that every citizen is entitled to.
• Duties are the responsibilities or obligations that every citizen must perform. They refers to the functions expected to be carried out or performed as a lawful citizens.

1. Rights of Citizens

• Right to life and personal liberty
• Right to freedom of speech and expression
• Right to assemble peacefully
• Right to vote and participate in government
• Right to education
• Right to own property

1. Duties of Citizens

• Obeying the laws of the country
• Paying taxes promptly
• Voting during elections
• Respecting the rights and freedoms of others
• Participating in national development activities
• Protecting the environment
• Defending the country when necessary
• Loyalty to the state

1. Importance of Rights and Duties

• Rights ensure that citizens live with freedom and security.
• Duties ensure that citizens contribute to the peace, progress, and unity of the nation.
