Content :
Adequate diet is eating the right amount of nutrient needed in the body.
Examples of adequate diet are:
1. Fruits e .g. Orange, apple, pineapple, pawpaw, water-melon, tangerine, etc.
2. Vegetables e .g. Bitter leaf, water leaf, ewedu, amaranthus, lettuce, cabbage, etc.
3. Proteins e .g. Beans, soya-bean, milk, egg, fish, meat, chicken, etc.
4. Carbohydrates e .g. Rice, yam, bread, maize, pap, etc.
5. Fats and oil e .g. Palm oil, groundnut oil, vegetable oil, cheese, butter, melon, etc.
6. Water.
Presentation Steps:
Step 1: Revision of the previous terms work with the learners by asking questions orally.
Step 2: Introduces the new topic by defining adequate diet
Step 3: Explains the topic by listing examples of foods that makes up adequate diet.
