Content :
Air is a mixture of gazes that surrounds us. The gases are invisible, odorless and tasteless.
When air is in motion, it is called wind. A wind is air in motion.
Existence of Air.
Air exists because we breathe it everyday and it is necessary for all living things on the earth surface. Examples : The car, generator, inflating machine, parachute, airplane, etc.
Properties of Air.
1. Air has weight.
2. Air occupied space.
3. Air exerts pressure.
4. It support weight.
5. It is affected by heat.
6. It can be compressed.
7. It is made up of gases.
Uses of Air
i. Air support lives. It is used for breathing.
ii. It support pollination.
iii. It helps in transportation. Air space and ship.
iv. It regulate temperature.
v. It support water cycle.
vi. It minimizes pollution.
Presentation Steps :
Step 1 : The teacher revises the previous lesson with the learners by asking questions orally.
Step 2 : He/ she introduces the new topic by asking the learners to describe air.
Step 3 : The teacher then guides the learners by stating the properties of air.
Step 4 : He/ she then mentions the uses of air.
