Behavioural Objectives: By the end of the lesson, learners should be able to:
i. Identify numbers and say simple meaning of ascending.
ii. Count numbers from smallest to the largest
Previous Knowledge: Learners are familiar with counting and writing of numbers.
Content:
Counting of Numbers 1 to 100 from the wall chart.
Ascending order simply means to arrange the given numbers from smallest to the biggest
Arrange these number starting from the smallest to the biggest.
For examples:
1.) 3, 5, 2, 1, 4 = 1 2 3 4 5
2.) 10, 7, 8, 9, 6 = 6, 7, 8, 9, 10
3.) 19, 20, 17, 16, 18 = ____ ____ ____ _____ _____
4.) 11, 15, 13, 12, 14 = ____ ____ _____ _____ ____
Presentation Step:
Step 1: Review of the previous knowledge with the learners by asking questions orally.
Step 2: Introduces the new topic to the learners by asking, “what is ascending order ?”
Step 3: He / she asks the learners to count and read the number chart from 1 to 100.
Step 4: He/ she then write some number and ask the learners to arrange from smallest to the biggest.
Evaluation :
Arrange these numbers from the smallest to the largest or biggest.
