Content:
Nationality is an official right that makes one a citizen of a particular country. It is the privilege enjoyed by belonging to a particular country either by birth or by registration.
Benefit of Being a Nationality.
The constitution of a country is a book that contains the rules and regulations of a country.
According to the constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, the following are rights to be enjoyed by a citizen of a country.
1. Right to life
2. Right to own property
3. Right to vote and be voted for (Right to participate in elections as a voter or an aspirant)
4. Right to free hearing
5. Right to free liberty
6. Freedom of speech or expression
7. Freedom of worship
8. Freedom of movement
Presentation Steps:
Step 1: The teacher revises the previous lesson with the learners by asking questions orally.
Step 2: He/ she introduces the new topic to the learners by explaining the meaning of benefit.
Step 3: He/ she states the benefits of being a nationality
Step 4: The teacher then list the fundamental rights of a citizen.
Evaluation: Underline True / False at the end of each statement.
