Content :
The blood is the transportation system of the body
The pumping Station of the body is The Human Heart.
The heart pumps blood to the other parts of the body.
The heart has four major division which are the right auricle, the left auricle, the right ventricle and the left ventricle
The heart contracts at regular interval. This regular interval contraction is known as Heartbeat.
The heart beats for about 72 times is a minutes in a healthy adult.
Heart beats decrease with old age but can be increased by physical exercises
Types of Blood Vessels and Their Functions
Blood vessels are the vessels that carry blood to and fro all the parts of our body.
The blood vessels are
1. The Arteries : The arteries takes away blood from the heart to the body. There are two types of arteries in our body. The Pulmonary arteries and
a.) The Pulmonary Artery : takes blood to the lungs for oxygenation
b.) The Aorta : takes oxygenated blood from the heart to other parts of the body
2. The Veins : The veins are situated on the surface of most organs and are a times visible under our skins. The veins return blood to the heart.
3. The Capillaries : The capillaries are small types of blood vessels that connect arteries to veins in the tissues
