Content:
Meaning of hair.
Hair is part of the body found on the head. It can also be found all over the body. It grows out of the body and covers the head. Some hair are black, brown or Grey (white hair)
Types of hair
There are basically two types of hair, these are :
i. Natural hair and
ii. Artificial hair
i.) Natural hair grows out from the head. It could be short or long, permed or treated and woven or plaited.
ii.) Artificial hair can also be called ” false hair. It does not grow out from the head but are worn or fixed. It comes in different forms which are:
a.) Wigs
b.) Hair pieces
c.) Weave-ons
d.) Attachments
Articles used for hair care and cleaning
There are different kinds of items used for cleaning and caring for all types of hair. These items include the following:
i. Comb
ii. Brush
iii. Cream or pomade
iv. Hair oil
v. Shampoo and conditioner
vi. Relaxer
vii. Rollers
viii. Barbing kits such as clippers, spirit,
ix. Mirror
x. Scissors, etc.
Presentation Step:
Step 1: The teacher revises the previous lesson with the learners by asking questions orally.
Step 2: Introduces the new lesson topic by describing hair and list the types of hair
Step 3: Explains the different types of hair and asks the learners to list examples
Step 4: The teacher then asks the learners to mention the articles used for hair care and cleaning.
Evaluation: The teacher reviews the lesson by asking the following questions :
