Content :
Salt is an additive added to food to give give it good taste. It is white in colour.
In religious practices and culture, salt signifies preservation and binding of a spiritual covenant. Salt is pure and it is used to chase away evil spirits.
Jesus calls us salt of the earth because we stand as witnesses of God at all times and in all things and in all places that we may be or find ourselves.
Christians are called salt of the earth because, we are distributed into the world to help preserve humanity and fees them with the word of God, to know Him, love Him and serve Him in this world and the next to come.
Memory verse : Mathew 5 : 13.
Presentation Steps :
Step 1 : The teacher revises the previous lesson with the learners by asking them questions orally.
Step 2 : He/ she introduces the new topic by asking the learners, ‘what is salt?’
Step 3 : The teacher asks the learners to mention the uses of salt.
