Content :

Collective Noun is one expressing a collection or a number of people or things. It is a name given to group of people, animals and things.

examples of collective nouns are : army, flock, crowd, fleet, galaxy, bevy, band, troupe, host, bunch, pair, bouquet, library, set, etc.

List of some collective nouns are given below:

  3. A bench of magistrate
  4. A bevy of ladies
  5. A class of scholars

Presentation Steps :

Step 1 : The teacher revises the previous lesson with the learners by asking them questions orally.

Step 2 : He introduces the new Lesson topic by defining collective nouns.

Step 3 : He then gives several examples of collective nouns for people, animals and things.

Step 4 : He writes out some examples of collective nouns for people, animals and things on the board for the learners to read.
