Content :
Colour is the surface appearance of something within and around us.
Colours are special qualities which objects have or are given to make them beautiful.
Colours are gotten from plants.
Examples of Colours are : red, blue, white, yellow, pink, green, brown, blue, purple, Grey, violet, etc.
Uses of Colours
1. It is used for painting.
2. For Making logo like MT, Glo, AIRTEL
3. It is used for traffic control.
4. It is used for beautification and decorations.
5. It is used for design.
6. It is used for costume
7. It is used for communication and identifications.
8. It is used for dyeing clothes.
Importance of Colour
1. Colours can change mood.
2. It helps convey different meaning and emotions.
3. It influence us on a few different levels.
4. It is a powerful communication tool nd can be used to signal action.
5. It can be used to influence mood
6. It plays a vital role in the world we live.
Presentation Steps :
Step 1 : The teacher revises the previous lesson with the learners by asking questions orally.
Step 2 : He/she introduces the new topic to the learner by asking them, “what is colour?”
Step 3 : The teacher then displays object with different Colours and calls on the learners to identify examples
Step 4 : States the use of colour to the learners
