Content :
Culture is the total ways of life of the people. Culture can also be defined as the way of life, especially general customs and traditions and belief of the people.
Types of culture.
There aare two types of culture. These are :
- Material culture
- Non-material culture
Material culture : These are material things you can see and touch.
Examples of material culture are : books, radios, chairs, tables, shoes, télévision, houses, pens, cups, cars, bags, etc.
These are the products of human efforts to control other environment and make life comfortable.
Non-material culture : These are culture that consists of ideas, customs, traditional values, attitude and knowledge. These are not physical things that can be seen or touch.

Culture exists everywhere and no two culture are exactly the same. The culture of the Hausas, is different from the Yorubas and that of the Igbos. Each of these tribes has different dresses, foods, languages, greetings, etc.
