Instructional Material : Chart showing the multiplication tables and repetitive addition of number in groups.
Learning Objectives : By the end of the lesson learners will be able to :
i. Explain Multiplication
ii. Identify repeated addition methods on multiplication.
iii. Solve problems on multiplication.
Content :
Cumulative is a total in the number that you get when you have added several numbers together or when you count together how many things are there in a group.
Examples :
3 + 3 = 2 groups of 3 = 2 x 3 = 6
2 x 3 = 3 x 2 = 6
3 x 5 = 3 groups of 5 = 3 x 5 = 15
3 + 3 + 3 + 3 + 3 🎈🎈🎈. 🎈🎈🎈. 🎈🎈🎈 🎈🎈🎈 🎈🎈🎈
4 x 9 = 4 groups of 9 = 4 x 9 = 36
4 + 4 + 4 + 4 + 4 + 4 + 4 + 4 + 4

Presentation Steps :
Step 1 : The teacher revises the previous lesson with the learners by asking them questions.
Step 2 : Introduces the new topic by explaining the cumulative property of multiplication to the learners.
Step 3 : Calls on the learners to practice the same in groups using bottle top, seed of cherry, and pebbles
Step 4 :
Evaluation :
Solve the following sum on multiplication
1. 3 x 9
2. 4 x 5
3. 2 x 8
4. 5 x 6
5. 3 x 10
Conclusion : The teacher re-explain the lesson all over again for a better understanding.
