Content:
Democratic practices as one of the components of Civic education teaches us our democratic rights and responsibilities. This means that every citizens must play a vital role in supporting and maintaining democracy and its practices.
Democracy is the government of the people by the people and for the people.
To practice democracy, the process of choosing a leader through election and voting, political parties, campaign, manifesto, knowing our rights and responsibilities, etc.
INEC : Independent National Electoral Commission. It was set up in 1998, by the head of state, Abdul salami Abubakar. This body has the power to plan, conduct and oversee elections in Nigeria.
The Security Agencies : These are the agencies that assist to enforce law and order in the conduct of elections. Examples are Nigerian police and Nigeria civil defence corps
The Political party:
The Constitution: This is a book that contains the rules and regulations on how to govern or rule a nation.

Presentation Steps:
Step 1: The teacher revises the previous lesson with the learners by asking questions orally
Step 2: He or she introduces the new topic by explaining the meaning of democracy
Step 3: He or she then explain so terms used in democracy
Step 4: The teacher identifies the agency that is in charge of elections and state their duties
