ii. Identify the different drawing instruments and state their uses.

Drawing is the picture representation of object or an idea.
Drawing also gives a visual picture of an information or result.
Drawing Instruments and their Uses:
Drawing instruments are tools used in drawing. Examples are pencil, eraser protractor, pair of compass, ruler, pair of dividers, drawing board, crayon, etc.
1. Pencil: is used for drawing
2. Eraser: is used for cleaning or erasing.
3. Protractor: is used for drawing angles.
4. Pairs of compass: is used for drawing circle and measuring distances.
5. Drawing board: is a surface for placing drawing sheet.
6. Tee square: is used in drawing horizontal lines.
7. Set square: is used in drawing vertical lines.
8. Ruler: is used for drawing
9. Crayon: is used for colouring.
10. Pair of dividers: is used for measuring distance.
Presentation Steps :
Step 1 : Revises the previous lesson with the learners by asking questions based on last week’s topic .
Step 2 : Introduces the topic by defining drawing and gives examples of instrument used for drawing.
Step 3 : State the uses of each instrument used for drawing.
Evaluation:
Answer the following questions.
1. What is drawing?
2. List five examples of drawing instruments
3. State the uses of each drawing instruments, mentioned above.
4. State the difference between a compass and a pair of dividers.
Conclusion : At the end of the lesson, learners were able to answer the questions correctly.
