Content :
Drugs are substances which change our mood and make us act strangely. They are dangerous to our health. When people are addicted to drugs, they often do desperate things to get them, like stealing from family
Drug abuse is the over – use of drugs or the use of drugs without doctor’s prescription. It can also be defined as the illegal way of taking drugs.
Examples of hard drugs used are cocaine, Marijuana, Indian-hemp, cannabis, etc.
Signs of Drug Addiction
The following are signs of drug addiction:
# Feeling that you need drugs in order to have fun, relax or deal with your problems.
# Sudden changes in mood and behaviour.
# Frequently borrowing money or stealing in order to buy drugs.
# Neglecting your personal appearance.
Saying No to Drug Use
Children all over the world should always Say No to Drugs, because it can harm our lives, school work, friends and family.
We must pledge to lead the way by:
*Living a Drug-free life.
*Learning more about how drugs really harm people.
*Telling people the truth about the harmful effects of drugs.
* Setting a good example to all children, by leading the way to a drug-free Nigeria.
