The early Heroes of Lagos State are those men who had contributed immensely towards the growths and development of the state.
Examples are :
1. Sir Herbert Macaulay
2. Sir Mobolaji Bank Anthony
3. Ọba Kosoko OF Lagos.
Sir Herbert Macaulay :
He was born on the 14th November, 1864. He attended Church Missionary Grammar School, the Royal British Architect in London. He was a politicians, an engineer and a journalists. He founded the first political party in Nigeria. His portrait is on the
Sir Mobolaji Bank Anthony :
He was born on the 11th June, 1907. He was a Yoruba Nigerian businessman and a philanthropist. He started his education at St. Peter School, Faji, Lagos and attended Methodist Boys High School, Lagos.
Ọba Kosoko OF Lagos :
Ọba Kosoko was a member of the Ologun Kutere Lagos Royal family, who reigned as Ọba of Lagos from 1845 to 1851. He rejected slave trade from the British colonies who later reported him to higher authorities. As a result, he was exiled to Epe. He returned in 1861 was given a title of Oloja of Eréko, while Oshodi Tapa settled in Epetedo.
