Meaning of Energy
Energy is the ability to do work.
Work helps us to transfer energy. We need energy for everything we do in our day to day activities. All things need energy to move.
Uses of Energy.
1. We use energy to walk from one place to another.
2. We use energy to run from one place to another.
3. We use energy to lift objects.
4. We use energy to write.
5. We use energy to jump.
6. We use energy to read.
7. We use energy to eat.
8. We use energy to wash our clothes and dishes.
9. We use energy to cook our food.
10. We use energy to carry load.
Presentation Steps :
Step 1 : The teacher revises the previous lesson with the learners to arouse their interest.
Step 2 : Introduces the new topic by asking ” what is energy?”
Step 3 : He then gives a simple definition of energy and asks the learners to read after him / her.
Step 4 : State the uses of energy at home and in school.
