i. Define Even numbers and Odd numbers.
ii. List examples of Even number and Odd numbers.
iii. Identify even numbers and Odd numbers from a group of numbers.
Previous Knowledge : Learners are familiar with counting and writing of numbers.
Content :
Even numbers and Odd numbers.
Even numbers are numbers divisible by two (2). These are numbers that ends with 2, 4, 6, 8, and 0.
Examples of even numbers are : 28, 56, 70, 32, 94, 130, 254, 386, etc.
Odd numbers are numbers not divisible by two (2) . Odd numbers are numbers that ends with 1, 3, 5, 7 and 9.
Examples of Odd numbers are : 21, 43, 55, 67, 89, 123, 241, 365, 419, etc.
Presentation Steps :
Step 1 : Revision of the previous lesson with the learners.
Step 2 : Introduces the new topic by explaining Even and Odd numbers .
Step 3 : Illustrate examples of Even numbers and Odd numbers
Step 4 : Identify Even numbers and Odd numbers respectively from a given set of numbers
