Content :
Some of the examples of Risk Factors in food preparation that can be dangerous to our health includes :
1. Environment : This is when the food is being prepared in a dirty environment. This may be contaminated and pose danger to our health.
2. Source : This food comes from sources that are bad. For examples when some food items stored and for the next planting season is being stolen and sold at a cheap rate. The food substance is poor. It can cause danger and as well harm the consumers.
3. Utensils : This is when all or some of the utensils used in cooking or preparing the food are dirty or not properly care for.
4. Preparation : This is when is the food is not properly prepared. This may be not food not properly cooked, uncovered after being prepared in a dusty and dirty environment.
5. Poor management of resources : some food are not properly washed due to lack of water. For examples fruits, food items like rice, yam, beans etc.
Presentation Steps :
Step 1 : Revision of the previous week’s work with the learners by asking questions orally.
Step 2 : Introduces the new lesson topic by asking questions and allows the learners to express themselves, before guiding them correctly.
Step 3 : itemize the point raised by the learners on the board and explains them with examples using picture chart to make the lesson understandable.
