Content :
Farming is the act of raising crop and the rearing of animals for the benefits of man.
Types of farming
1.) Subsistence farming
2.) Commercial farming
2.) *Commercial farming* : This is the type of farming done by producing crops known as cash crops on a large scale.
*Characteristics of Commercial farming.*
The following are the characteristics of commercial farming:
1. Large scale of land is required
2. It requires large capital, that is a lot of money.
3. Labourer and skilled personal are also needed
4. The use of farm machineries and implements are required.
5. Cash crops such Cocoa, Coffee, Timber, Kola-nut
