Content :
Festival are cultural and social events that brings people from different community together to celebrate and enjoy their cultural heritage.
There are different types of festivals practiced in Nigeria. Examples are :
1. Ẹyọ Festival in Lagos State
2. New yam festival in Enugu state
3. Osun Festival in Osogbo, Osun State.
4. Argungun fishing festival in Kebbi state.
5. Egungun festivals in Lagos State, Ogun State and Oyo State.
6. Ojúde Ọba ín Ìjẹ̀bú Ode, Ogun State.
Presentation Steps :
Step 1 : The teacher revises the previous lesson with the learners by asking them questions orally.
Step 2 : He/ she asks the learners, ‘what is festivals?’
Step 3 : Then, after several attempt by the learners. The Teacher gives a simple definition of festival
Step 4 : List examples of different festivals celebrated and where they are practiced.
