Previous Knowledge : Learners are familiar with energy giving food
Content :
Food storage means keeping food in a place that is safe for future use.
Food can be stored or kept in different ways. Examples of where food can be stored are :
i. Food are stored or kept in the fridge.
ii. Food is kept inside a container
iii. We can also store food in a store room or kitchen.
Purposes of food storage
1. It avoids spoilage.
2. It helps in keeping the food fresh.
Presentation Step :
Step 1: The teacher revises the previous lesson with the learners by asking questions orally.
Step 2: The teacher introduces the new topic to the learners by explaining food storage
Step 3: He/ she then list places where food can be stored and the different methods of storing food.
