Content :
Greeting is a form of showing signs of respect to our elders and appreciating them. It shows that one has culture and respect for our elders.
Forms of Greetings
1. Prostrating
2. Bowing
3. Bending
4. Kneeling
5. Clenching with the fist
Yoruba :
A Yoruba Man will prostrate to greet while the woman will kneel down. The Yoruba also greet according to the time of the day.
Morning : Ẹ kaaro (Good morning )
Afternoon : Ẹ kaasan (Good afternoon)
Evening / Night : E ku ìrólé / E kalẹ (Good evening)
Igbo :
In Igbo land , there are no special greeting gestures, both male and female bend a little to show respect for the elders
Morning : Ututu oma / Ibolachi (Good morning )
Afternoon : Ezigbo ehihi (Good afternoon)
Evening / Night : Mgbede oma (Good evening)
Hausa :
In Hausa land, there is no special forms of greetings. Both male and female bends with clenching of the fist. Some may even squat, shake hands and touches their chest.
The Hausa also have greetings for each time of the day.
Morning : Ina Juana Barka da safe (Good morning)
Afternoon : Barka day Amma (Goodafternoon)
Evening : Barka day Amma (Good evening)

Step 3 : He / she gives examples of how to greet in Yoruba, Igbo and Hausa.
