Topic: Future tense
The future means ‘ the time after now’. The following structures are used to express the future tense in English.
1. will + verb = There will be rain in Lagos, according to weather reports.
2. be + going to + verb = It is going to rain in a few hours time; I can see the clouds.
3. Present simple tense = My French language course finishes next month.
4. Present continuous tense = I’m meeting my class teacher next week.
5. Will / Shall + be + verb + ing = Next month, I shall/ will be celebrating my birthday.
