PREVIOUS KNOWLEDGE: Pupils are familiar with greetings.
CONTENT:
Greetings is an act of showing respect to our parents, teachers and elderly ones.
How to greet our parents and elderly ones.
i. Girls should kneel down when greeting their parents and elderly ones.
ii. Boys should prostrate when greeting their parents and elderly ones.
iii. Bowing, hand shaking and saluting are other forms of greetings
When do we greet people?
We can greet our parents when we wake up in the morning;
We can also greet our parents or elderly ones, when we come back from school.
Greeting people is a very good habit.
PRESENTATION:
STEP 1: Review of last term’s topic with the pupils
STEP 2: Introduction to the new topic – Greetings
STEP 3: Explanation of the new topic by defining greetings and describe how to greet by boys and girls.
STEP 4: Identify the people we must greet in our homes, school and community.
