CONTENT:
Food is what we eat that makes us grow and healthy.
Examples of food
i. Rice
ii. Beans
iii. Yam
iv. Bread
v. Plantain
vi. Indomie
vii. Fish
viii. Meat
ix. Garri (Eba)
x. Amala (Yam flour)
Food is very important to us because it makes us grow and healthy. When eating, we must eat good and healthy food.
A healthy food is the food that gives the body the following:
1. Energy
2. Builds the body
3. Protect the body
PRESENTATION: The teacher present the lesson to the pupils using the steps below:
STEP 1: Revision of the previous knowledge
STEP 2: Introduction of the new topic by defining food
STEP 3: Explanation of the topic by asking the pupils to mention the types of food they eat at home
STEP 4: He/ she then describe healthy food and state the importance of eating healthy food
EVALUATION: The teacher reviews the lesson, by asking the pupils the following questions:
