Content :
SSS : State Security Services. This is the primary domestic intelligence agency of Nigeria. It is responsible for gathering intelligence information (Security information within the country). They protect Senior government Officials, such as Governors and the President of the country.
Functions of State Security Services (SSS)
1. Arrest thugs
2. Protect the President
3. Protect the Ambassador
4. Protect the nation.
5. Protect the Governors.
NSCDC : Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps.
This is a para-military institution that was established in May, 1967. The primary duty of the corps is to protect lives and properties in conjunction with the Nigeria Police.
Functions of Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps. (NSCDC)
1. Protect the Governors.
2. Protect Pipeline vandalization.
3. Protect Commissioners
4. Avert illegal exportation of fuel.
5. Enforce peace in the state.
