Many adults are worried about the effect text messaging is having on the standard of written English of young people today. Others think that any form of communication between young people should be encouraged. So what are the advantages and disadvantages of text messaging?
First, text messaging is a form of communication that young people are very enthusiastic about. Adults should not try to stop it just because they don’t understand it and probably can’t do! They should realize that text messaging and is spreading into the business world, it is very fast and offers privacy (confidence). On the other hand, the spelling skill in text messaging is affecting our young people. Other evils in text messaging are the poor punctuation and poor vocabulary.
