Content :
Multiplication is the process of adding a number to itself a certain number of times. It is an increase in the number or amount of something.
The sign of multiplication is (x). Multiplication is also known as product or times.
Examples : Multiplication as repeated addition.
1 boy has 2 hands
2 boys have 2 + 2 hands = 4 hands.
4 boys have 4 x 2 = 2 + 2 + 2 + 2 = 8 hands
4 x 3 = 4 + 4 + 4 = 12
4 x 6 = 6 + 6 + 6 + 6 = 24
11 x 2 = 2 + 2 + 2 + 2 + 2 + 2 + 2 + 2 + 2 + 2 + 2 = 22
Multiplication of Numbers by grouping objects.

Presentation Steps :
Step 1 : The teacher revises the previous lesson with the learners by asking them questions.
Step 2 : Introduces the new topic by explaining the meaning of multiplication of numbers using repeated addition of numbers.
Step 3 : Identify the symbol of multiplication and terms used.
Step 4 : Asks the learners to recite the multiplication tables from 2 times to 10 times.
