Content :
Nationalism means the feeling of love and pride for one’s country.
Patriotism means loyalty to the nation.
VALUES OF NATIONALISM AND PATRIOTISM
1. Love – Love for one’s country.
2. Courage – Encouraging one another.
3.Respect – Respect for ourselves, our citizens, and our natural resources.
4. Caring – Care for your citizens.
5. Defense – Defense of country is another important aspect of patriotism.
6. Promoting National interest.
7. Placing the Nation before self.

EXAMPLES OF NON NATIONAL SYMBOLS

5. Ethnic groups – Arewa, Afenifere, Brifra, etc.

DIFFERENT BETWEEN NATIONAL AND NON NATIONAL SYMBOLS
1. National symbols represent the sovereignty of a nation while non national symbols represent a part or session of a national.
2. National symbols is the pride of the whole national. While non national symbols are pride of those its represent.
