ii. Identify the natural resources found in North West Zones.
iii. Examine the current Governors North West region of Nigeria.
Content :
The North West region is the region and native homeland of the Hausa people with the second largest tribe being Fulani. It comprises of seven states, Jigawa, Kaduna, Kano, Katsina, Kebbi, Sokoto and Zamfara.
They offers a wide range of Islamic beauty and culture, from the seat of Caliphate in Sokoto to the land of Equity to the free Trade zone in Jigawa.
Kano is the largest city in the North-west region of Nigeria. Other cities are Kaduna, Zaria, Sokoto, Gusau, Garki, Funtuna, etc.
The languages spoken in the North West Geopolitical Zones are : Adara, Arabic, Bade, Boko, Gbagyi, Fulfulde, Hausa, Hyam, etc.
Presentation Steps :
Step 1 : The teacher revises the previous lesson with the learners by asking them questions orally.
Step 2 : He/ she introduces the new topic by describing the North West Geopolitical Zones and identify the list of states and their capital.
Step 3 : Identify and mentions the resources found in the North West region.
Step 4 : Mentions the current governors of the North West Geopolitical Zones.
