Previous Knowledge : Learners are familiar with singular and plural.
Content :
Singular means one thing, that is a person, thing or animal while plural means two or more things such as persons, animals or things.
Some rules are applied when changing from singular to plural.
1. By adding ‘- s’ to a given nouns to form plural. For example :

2. By adding ‘-es’ to the nouns that ends with ‘sh’, ‘ch’, ‘o’, ‘x’, ‘s’, ‘ss’ and ‘z’ :

3. Those nouns ending with ‘y’ and consonant letter before it by changing it to ‘ ies’.

Note: If a vowel letter (a, e, i, o, u) comes before ‘y’, just add ‘s’ to form plural.

4. Nouns ending with ‘f’ or ‘fe’ in singular firms are changed to ‘-ves’ in the plural.

5. Some nouns form their plural by changing the vowel letter in-between the words
