iii. State reasons for wearing clothes
Previous Knowledge : Learners are familiar with clothes
Content :
Clothing refers to all kinds of materials for covering the body.
The major reasons for wearing clothes includes the following:
i. Clothes are worn to protect the body from dangers of bad weather.
ii. Clothes enhances our safety during our daily activities .
iii. Clothes are worn as adornment to make us look beautiful.
iv. Cloth identify the types of job people do. For example, nurses, police, firefighter, wear uniforms .
Examples of clothing are :
Trousers shirt, suit, jackets skirts blouses, vests, pants, ties, scarves, etc.
We also have pyjamas, and night gowns which are worn at night.
Presentation Steps :
Step 1 : The teacher revises the previous topic explained by asking the learners questions.
Step 2 : He/ she introduces the new topic by asking them to define clothing
Step 3 : He/ she then states reason for wearing clothes.
Step 4 : Identify and list several examples of clothes
