Topic: PERSPECTIVE DRAWING.
Perspective drawing is a pictorial method of drawing, the shape of a solid object which shows the three (3) sides of an object at once.
Of all the pictorial drawing, perspective drawings are the closest to the eyes. The perspective drawing is a type of drawing which present the view of an object by projecting lines from one or more vanishing points. Objects reduce in sizes as they move farther away from the view point. The objects seem to reduce to a point and thereby varnishing out of sight.
In a perspective drawing, all the lines on an object meet (converge) at a point called VANISHING POINT.
The perspective drawing may be classified according to the number of vanishing points.
A vanishing point: This is the point in a perspective drawing where all the visual lines may meet (converge) at a point. The number of vanishing points depends on the position of the object with respect to the picture plane. The observers’ eye is called the station, which generates visual rays that defines the size of the object.
TYPES OF PERSPECTIVE DRAWING.
1) One-point perspective drawing: In one point perspective drawing, the four parallel edges of the cube meet or converge at a particular point.
2) Two-point perspective drawing: In two point perspective drawing, it contains two vanishing points and the two vanishing points appear at a point in two directions called sight line.
ASSIGNMENT:
1) Define perspective drawing.
2) Explain the two types of perspective drawing.
3) Make effective use of drawing instruments in simple objects in perspective drawing.
