What is Public Enlightenment Campaign?
Public Enlightenment can be defined as the medium applied in educating people on the causes and prevention diseases.
HIV (Human Immune deficiency Virus) is a virus that attacks the immune system of the body. It destroys the white blood cells in the body.
The last stage of HIV infection is AIDS (Acquired Immune deficiency Syndrome).
HIV and AIDS is a deadly disease that has claimed millions of life. There is need for public Enlightenment Campaign on HIV /AIDS so that people will know how to prevent themselves from it.
Causes of HIV / AIDS.
The following are the ways through which HIV / AIDS can be spread from one person to another.
1. By sharing sharp infected objects such as blade, needle and syringe.
2. By blood transfusion
Prevention of HIV / AIDS
The following are ways to prevent HIV /AIDS.
1. Do not share the same razor blade with an infected person.
2. Do not take blood transfusion from a person infected.
3. Do not use the same needle with other people.
Presentation Steps :
Step 1 : Revision of the previous knowledge with the learners by asking questions orally.
Step 2 : Introduces the new topic by explaining the meaning of public Enlightenment.
Step 3 : Explain the meaning of HIV / AIDS
Step 4 : Identify ways of spreading HIV / AIDS and its prevention.
