Content :
Reasons Why Substances are taking into the body.
Foods : These are substances we take when hungry. These include; rice, bread, beans, biscuit, etc.
Drugs/ Medicine : Some drugs are taken when we fall sick. Examples are : paracetamol, vitamin c, cough syrup, etc.
Thirst : Water and soft drinks could be taken while feeling thirsty. Examples are : Coca-Cola, Fanta, Pepsi, malt, lacasera, viju milk, etc.
1. We take substance into our body to stay alive.
2. We take substance to prevent thirst.
3. Substances are taken to prevent hunger.
4. It is taken for enjoyment.
5. Substance is taken because of it curiosity.
6. It is taken for its availability.
If good substance is taken into the body, it will improve the body system. It will give our body proper growth, good health, sound sleep and energy to do work.
Presentation Steps :
Step 1 : Revision of the previous lesson with the learners by asking questions orally.
Step 2 : Introduces the new topic by listing examples of substances.
Step 3 : Classify substances into good and bad substances.
Step 4 : State reasons why substance is taken into the body.
