Previous Knowledge : Learners have been taught the meaning of honesty and obedience.
Learning Objectives : By the end of the lesson learners will be able to :
i. Explain the meaning of respect
ii. Identify and list examples of respect.
Content :
What is respect?
Respect is the due regard for feeling, wishing or rights of others.
Respect is the good way you treat someone.
This can also be said to be a state of being regarded with honor.
Examples of Respect.
1. When you admire someone or something.
2. When you are obedient, it simply means you are respectful.
3. Being kind and polite is an act of respect
4. By being thankful is a way of showing respect
5. By listening to your elders is a sign of respect.
6. Greeting is a sign of respect
Presentation Steps :
Step 1 : The teacher revises the previous lesson with the learners by asking questions orally.
Step 2 : Introduces the new topic by asking the learners, ” what is respect?”
Step 3 : The learners are given room to express themselves while the teacher guides them.
Step 4 : He! She then asks the learners to mention examples of respect. The Teacher assist the learners in citing more examples
