COMMON SOCIAL PROBLEMS IN NIGERIA
(REVISION OF LAST TERM’S WORK)
These are recurrent Problematic behaviors in the society.
Such problems include;
- Examination malpractices
- Cultism
- Electoral malpractice
- Juvenile delinquency
- Drug addict
- Corruption
- Internet fraud
- Prostitution
- Materialism
- HIV/AID
- Crime
- lack of cooperation
- Human and drug trafficking
- Armed robbery
- Religious and ethnic conflict etc.
ABSTINENCE
Abstinence is a deliberate decision not to engage in any form of sexual intercourse.
Benefits of abstinence are:
It preserve someone’s virginity
It helps one to be focus in pursuing life goals
It prevent unwanted pregnancy
It prevent HIV/AIDS and other sexually transmitted diseases
Presentation Steps :
Step 1 : The teacher introduces the lesson by writing the topic and stating the learning objectives on the board.
Step 2 : Begins the class by asking them questions on the previous terms work
Step 3 : Asks the, “what is abstinence?”
Step 4 : Mention the benefit of abstinence
EVALUATION
1. Define Contemporary social problems in Nigeria
