ii. Identify and list rights of citizens
iii. Define Duties
iv. Mention duties of citizens to the nations
Content :
Rights are the freedom, immunities, power and privilege that a citizen enjoy or have.
Every citizen is enable to enjoy the following rights :
1. Right to life
2. Right to education
3. Right to own property
4. Right to freedom of religion
5. Right to freedom of movement
6. Right to freedom of expression
Duties can be define as the responsibility or roles played by the citizen and the government.
Duties of citizens to the nation.
1. Payment of tax
2. Obedience to the laws
3. Respect for one another
4. Voting during elections
5. Respect for national symbols
Presentation Steps:
Step 1: Revision of the previous week’s work with the learners.
Step 2: The teacher introduces the new topic by defining rights
Step 3: He / she then list the fundamental rights of citizens
Step 4: He/ she asks the learners to define duties of a citizens to the nation.
Step 5: The teacher then states the duties of citizens to the nation.
Evaluation: The teacher reviews the lesson by asking the following questions:
