Rights and Duties of the Citizen.
What is right?
Right can be defined as freedom, immunity, power or privilege due to one by agreement, birth, claim.
Rights of a citizen
1. Freedom of speech.
2. Right to fair and public trust.
3. Right to vote freely.
4. Right to education.
5. Right to freedom of religion
What is duty?
Duty can be defined as moral and legal obligation. It can also be defined as a task or action that one is expected to do as part of one’s job. Duties simply means responsibilities required to perform ones task.
Duties of the Citizens.
1. Obeying the Law of the country.
2. Payment of taxes
3. Voting during election.
4. Give support to law enforcement agents.
5. Show up for jury duty.
6. Protection of government properties against vandalization.
7. Respect the national flag, national anthem, national pledge and other authorities.

Step 1 : Revises the previous lesson with the learners by asking questions orally.
Step 2 : Introduces the new topic to the learners defining rights and duties
