Content :
Riot is the disturbance of the public peace by the group of people who are against something. Riot is noisy and violent because those involved behave anyhow by destroying properties and causing harm to other people.
Causes of Riot.
There are different things that results in riots. These are :
1. Dissatisfaction : This is done to show discomfort and dissatisfaction of the people towards harsh economy conditions such as increase in fuel price, and other policy
2. Selfishness : Due to selfish interests of people such as political and religious leaders have engaged thugs in disrupting the peace of the people and the entire neighborhood.
3. Violent purpose : Riot occurs when people have the intention of creating problem in order to steal and cause harm to innocent people and their properties.
How to Curb Riots
Riot can be curb by doing the following :
1. Involvement of Police Officers or personnel.
2. Use of police weapon such as, teargas, rubber bullet, baton, pepper spray, etc.
3. Intervention of the people to know the cause of riot and dialogue to resolve it.

Step 1 : Revises the previous lesson with the learners by asking questions orally.
Step 2 : Introduces the new topic by explaining the meaning of riot.
Step 3 : Identify the causes of riot and how to curb it.
