Meaning of Risk Factors in Food.
Risk factors in food involves inadequate preparation of food that can be dangerous to our health.
Examples of Risk factors in food.
The following are risk factors in food preparation :
1. If the food is not properly cooked.
2. If the cook is not on good health condition.
3. Cooking of food with dirty and contaminated utensils.
3. If the food is gotten from a bad source.
4. It the food is not prepared under proper temperature.
Risk factors in food is when the food is adulterated, that is contains impurities in the food.
Presentation Steps :
Step 1 : The teacher revises the previous lesson with the learners by asking questions orally.
Step 2 : Introduces the new topic by asking the learners to explaining the meaning of risk factors
Step 3 : The teacher asks the learners to gives examples of the risk factors in food preparation.
Step 4 : The teacher then explains and show them some examples of Risk Factors using pictures.
