What are laws?
Laws are rules that guide and instruct people on how to live in their country or community.
What are Law Enforcement Agencies?
Law enforcement agencies are government organizations that are set up to ensure that people obey laws.
Examples of Laws Enforcement Agencies.
There are various law enforcement agencies in Nigeria. They include :
(1) Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA)
LASTMA is a Lagos State owned agency. It was established to ensure free flow of traffic in the state and to reduce road accidents.
(2) National Agency for Food and Drugs Administration and Control. (NAFDAC)
NAFDAC is a Nigerian federal agency that is responsible for regulating and controlling the manufacture,importation,exportation, advertisement,distribution, and use of food, drugs, cosmetics, chemicals, medical devices and package water.
(3) National Drug Law Enforcement Agencies. (NDLEA)
NDLEA is a federal agency in NIGERIA in charge of eliminating the growing, processing, manufacturing, selling and exporting of hard drugs. Examples of hard drugs are cocaine, heroine, indian hemps,
(4) Nigeria Police Force (NPF)
The Nigeria Police Force is charged with the responsibility of preventing crime as well as maintaining law and order in our community.
(5) Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC).
Federal Road Safety Commission is a Nigerian agency whose functions include making the highways safe for motorists and other road users.
They verifies road Worthiness to reduce accident on the highway and educates motorists and members of the public on the importance of road discipline.
(6) Economic and Financial Commission
(EFCC).
The Economic and Financial crimes commission is Nigeria law enforcement agency that investigates financial crimes, such as (419 fraud) and money laundering.

Step 1 : Revision of the previous lesson taught with the learners by asking questions.
Step 2 : Introduces the new topic by explaining the meaning of law and law enforcement
Step 3 : Identify and mentions examples of enforcement agencies in Nigeria and state their duties.
