Learning Objectives : By the end of the lesson learners will be able to
i. Define Security Precautions.
ii. State the security Precautions applied at home and in school.
Content : Security Precautions.
Security simply means being safe from danger.
Precautions is the step taken to keep us away from danger. It is also the measures or procedures taken to keep safe and away from evil.
Security Precautions can be defined as the measures taken to keep us away from danger, theft, killings, kidnapping, and other violent activities. We need to act fast and take necessary actions to be safe.
It is important to stay away from danger, and be safe at home, in school and in our environment or community.
To be safe, we must do the following :
1. Stay away from sharp objects at home such as knife, razor blade, scissors, nails, etc.
2. Avoid playing rough at school to prevent us from being injured.
3. Keeping our environment clean to avoid diseases.
4. Do not buy food from a dirty environment.
5. Do not eat spoilt food or drink expired drink.
6. Do not beg or accept gift from strangers.
Presentation Steps :
Step 1: Revises the previous term’s work with the learners by asking them questions orally.
Step 2 : Introduces the new topic by asking the learners to say the meaning of “security” and “precaution”.
Step 3 : The teacher then defines security precaution.
Step 4 : He then states the security Precautions that must be taken at home, in school and our community.
