Previous Knowledge : Learners have been taught security Facts.
Content :
Meaning of Insecurity.
Insecurity refers to a state of jot being secured from fear, problems or danger.
Insecurity is the opposite of Security. It is a state of not being safe.
Sources of Insecurity
These includes : dilapidated buildings, filling station without fire extinguisher, bad roads, etc.
The following are sources of Insecurity.
1. Lack of good social amenities. E.g. Good roads, uncompleted building or abandoned buildings
2. Poor academic performance
3. Road accidents
4. Fire outbreak
5. Kidnapping
6. Poverty
7. Isolation
8. Fake drug intake
9. Corruption
10. Eating unsafe food
11. Relationship with strangers
12. Following Bad friends and gangs.
Presentation Steps :
Step 1 : Revises the previous lesson learnt with the learners by asking questions orally.
Step 2 : Introduces the new topic by asking, “what is insecurity? ”
Step 3 : He / she then explains the meaning of Insecurity to the learners.
Step 4 : Identify and mentions some sources of Insecurity.
