Previous Knowledge : Learners have been taught risk factors in distribution and preparation of food .
Content :
All living things need water to live. Water is essential in our daily life.
We need water everyday at home, in the school, in the office, in the market.
Definition of water
Water is a colourless, odourless and tasteless liquid.
Source of water:
There are two main source of water.
1. Natural
2. Artificial
Natural sources of water are:
a. Rain
b. Rivers
c. Wells
d. Lakes
e. Oceans
f. Stream
g. Spring
While Artificial sources are:
a. boreholes
b. Well
c. dams
d. ponds
e. tap
Presentation Steps :
Step 1 : Revises the previous lesson with the learners by asking them questions orally.
Step 2 : Introduces the new topic by defining water and its characteristics .
Step 3 : Identify and mentions sources of water.
