Previous Knowledge : Learners have been taught swimming at a topic.
Learning Objectives : By the end of the lesson learners will be able to :
i. Describe a swimming pool
ii. Identify how to enter and comes out of the swimming pool
iii. Mention the steps to be taken when entering and coming out of a pool.
Content :
Swimming pool is a pool of water used for swimming. It is mostly built in a rectangular or oval shape.
To swim in a pool as a beginner, the following steps should be taken when entering and coming out of the swimming pool.
1. The pool should be entered by the steps from the shallow end.
2. Beginners must wade through the water up to the waist and gradually go on until all the body is under the water surface.
3. Beginner must wade through the water towards the step and climb out of the water by the steps.
Presentation Steps :
Step 1 : The teacher revises the previous lesson by asking questions based on the topic.
Step 2 : He/ she introduces the new topic to the learners
Step 3 : He/she then explains and demonstrate it to the learners while they do the same.

1. What is swimming pool?
2. Mention the steps involve in swimming in the pool as a beginner.
