Content :
Types of Prayers
Prayer is very good for every Christian. We pray to God for different purposes and He hears our prayers.
The following are types of prayers:
1. Prayer of Thanksgiving : We should be thankful to God for what He has done for us. When we thank God for what He has done for us, then we give Him an opportunity to do more.
2. Prayer of Confession of Sins : We pray to God for the forgiveness of our sins. We asks Him to pardon us for our wrong doings. Sins hinders our prayers. So we must confess all our sins before God.
3. Prayer of Intercession : Intercession is talking to God on behalf of others. As Christians, we are to pray for all men including our enemies as instructed by Jesus Christ.
4. Prayer of Adoration : We can pray to adore God in a spirit of worship. This is because, He is a very big God that cannot be compared with anything.
As a good Christians, we should always pray to God. By doing this, we break all barriers and the devil hates seeing us praying.
Presentation Steps :
Step 1 : Revises the previous lesson with the learners by asking them questions orally.
Step 2 : Introduces the new topic by listing the types of Prayers.
Step 3 : Explains each of the types of Prayers mentioned.
