Instructional Material : Chart displaying  ways of showing Respect.

Previous Knowledge : Learner have been taught meaning of greetings and examples.

 

Learning Objectives : By the end of the lesson learners will be able to :

i. Identify ways of showing Respect

ii. Demonstrate ways of showing Respect.

Content :

We can show sign of respect to our parents and elders at home and our teachers in school.

The following are ways to show respect :

1. Greetings : When we greet we show signs by kneeling down, bowing or prostrating.

2. Running Errands : We also show signs of respect by running errands for our parents, elders and teachers.

3. Obedience to instructions : We show respect by Obeying simple instructions given in school and at home  by our parents, elders, teachers and prefects

4. We show respect by collecting bags or load from our aged and old people.

5. We show respect when we learn to be thankful.

Presentation Steps :

Step 1 : The teacher revises the previous week’s topic with the  learners by asking questions orally.

Step 2 : Introduces the new topic by asking the learners to mention ways of respecting.

Step 3 : The teacher then states ways of showing Respect.

Step 4 : The teacher guides the learners to demonstrate ways of showing Respect.
