BEHAVIOURAL OBJECTIVES : By the end of the lesson, pupils will be able to:
i. Say simple greetings
ii. Read the letters orally A – Z
iii. Identify and write letter A – N.
PREVIOUS KNOWLEDGE: Pupils are familiar with reading and writing of alphabets.
CONTENT:
Simple greetings.

Good evening ma/ sir.
Reading and writing of alphabets (letter A – N)

PRESENTATION: The teacher present the lesson to the pupils using the steps below:
STEP 1: Revision of the previous knowledge
STEP 2: Introduction of the new topic by asking the pupils to read the letters A to N orally one after the other
STEP 3: Explanation of the topic by asking the pupils sound the letters
STEP 4: He/ she then describes the forms of greetings and asks the pupils to repeat after him / her.
EVALUATION: The teacher reviews the lesson, by asking the pupils the following questions:
Read, identify and write capital letter A – N.
